Born in Australia, Alexander cut his teeth as a chorister in the cathedral choirs of Sydney. Having been drawn away from that world by guitar riffs and drum machines, he started his first band, The Spark. After a year of non-stop touring Australia, in 2006 they were picked up by Ark Recordings in the UK and Ivy League records in Australia and became Sparkadia.

Their debut album, ‘Postcards’ was recorded and produced by Ben Hillier in South London in 2007 and went on to achieve Gold sales in Australia spawning the hit single, ‘Jealousy‘ that placed in #79 in Triple J’s Hottest 100 of the following year. Sparkadia went on to tour internationally, playing at many of the European summer festivals including Glastonbury and T in the Park.

As members of the band went on to pursue other things, the project became a solo venture and in 2010 Alexander went to East London to make the second album, “The Great Impression” with Mark ‘Tieks’ Tieku on co-production duties. The album debuted at #8 on the ARIA charts, also achieving Gold sales. The three singles from the album, “Talking Like I’m Falling Down Stairs“, “China” and “Mary” all placed in the Hottest 100 of the following year.

Having found success in Australia, Alexander made the decision to move to London where he had produced the last Sparkadia record. It was in London and through the contacts he made whilst working on “The Great Impression” that he met Anita Blay, formally known as Cocknbullkid and formed Antony & Cleopatra in 2014. The duo have since gone on to find success in the UK, Germany and Australia, signing to Dew Process and Island Records in the UK and releasing “Dust” in 2017 and more recently “The Future” by Motez on which they were feature artist.

In that time, he has formed Baxter & Boston, a UK based production company. The Baxter & Boston team have worked on the majority of his key collaborations and releases from 2013 up to the present day.
